Hi
Happy Friday !
Bias is one of those words we throw around a lot. But most of us don’t really know what it looks like in action—especially in our own decisions.
As product folks, we like to think we’re data-driven, logical, user-centered. But bias quietly sneaks in—when we choose what to build, who to listen to, what feedback to ignore, even how we write a job description.
I’ve been thinking about this more lately. Not because of a big event, but because bias rarely shows up as something dramatic. It’s usually subtle. A pattern you only notice in hindsight.
Amazon Prime released a 24 part series. I just started watching.
It unpacks how bias works in institutions and individuals. It’s sharp, uncomfortable in parts, but important—especially if you lead teams or build products that shape how others live and work.
