Gem #2: 58 rules for beautiful UI design by Taras Bakusevych
Design is an essential component of a successful product. This has especially been true in B2C. But even in B2B, users demand a more pleasing and effortless experience.
In this fascinating article, Taras writes about the rules of great design with examples. As PMs, we should be familiar with design concepts and incorporate them in our products.
Gem #3: What Happens When You Start Reading Every Day by Sufyan Mann
With all the social media and smartphone intervention, we seem to be losing our reading habits. Reading has multiple benefits as articulated in this article by Sufyan Mann.
Reading helps your analytical thinking, clarify your conceptual thinking and also reduce stress.
And as PMs, we need all that - Analytical thinking, logic, clarity. I highly recommend improving your reading in case you are not an avid reader. And not just PM or Tech book. Also read other non fiction in marketing, psychology, economics, biographies, history. I even get inspiration from reading historical fiction e.g. Ken Follets Pillars of the Earth.
Here is the article with more details on the benefits of reading.
